Prison Ministry

The Howard Street Prison Bible Study is a joint effort supported by Martin Luther King Community Presbyterian Church, Christ Presbyterian Church and the Hampden County Sheriffs Department. The average attendance was approximately 14, eight of which were inmates that were transported from both the Pre-releaseCenter located in Ludlow and the HowardStreetCenter in Springfield. We assisted several families with obtaining groceries.  The number of families requesting assistance was down from previous years as well as the reasons for the request.  One hundred and fifty dollars was expended.

The Bible Study is led by Elder Calvin Walls every Wednesday, 7pm at MLK Jr. Community Presbyterian Church.
