| Kevin Ryan Submitted by: Don & Glenna Ryan | Last night Kevin was in a car accident on his way home with a friend. The friend was driving too fast and lost control of the car. Kevin got to a local public hospital with a dislocated shoulder and fractures in his elbow and lower back. Today we got in touch with him, it is 7 hours later there, and he is on his way with a coworker to a private hospital in Queen's Town. He is in a lot of pain in his lower back. Although he can move everything, he is in a lot of pain standing and is hoping to be admitted for a few days since he cannot cook etc. Please pray for good care and a good reception when he gets to the private hospital, please pray they will take their time with him and make a correct diagnosis. Please pray for relief of the pain and protection for his back. He had a back injury in high school as well. Pray he could make good decisions in the midst of all this. Praise God Kevin is alive. Thank you all. Please pass the message along. Thank you. Kevin just went into surgery to fuse vertebrae that fractured. I spoke to the surgeon and nurse at Blue Cross Blue Shield and am confident this is necessary. There is no neurological damage, which is good. Dislocated shoulder will heal in a sling. After the 2 hour drive to emergency room at Queenstown they put him in an ambulance to a hospital near East London, another 2 hours in a different direction, to see the neurosurgeon. | Sandy Burgess and Ella Submitted by: Tracy Johnson | She brought her dog, Ella, to the eye veterinarian and got some bad news. Ella has cysts in her eyes and needs drops and ointment in her eyes twice a day -- but Sandy can't see the dog's eyes to put the medicine in. On top of that, the medicine is terribly expensive. | health for Sandy and Ella+ Submitted by: Sandy Burgess | As was mentioned earlier, Ella has iris cysts that may lead to glaucoma and eye inflammation, especially when they burst. They are in an inoperable place and are not bothering her sight. I need to travel out to Deerfield every 3 months to check her. I need someone to give me some verbal guidance as I attempt to learn a blind way to administer drops/ointment daily. I went to a free exam for working dogs given annually in May and it is a blessing one in our area would participate in this. We had tr4oulble getting a cab (ether he didn't want blind and dogs as happens against the law, or came and didn't tell us). S...the chief of police drove and friend and I and our guides. Praise God her dog is fine! Also I am now going to a neurologist, had shingles, and Thurs go to a thoracic surgeon for a lung node grown bigger. My clients are in crises and there needs to be enough of me to go around. Thank God for the wonderful people along olur trip today who assisted my friend, me and are special guides as we waited at the candle shop outside in cold for a cab and phoned to receive help in an area unknown to us. | Nate Tripp's Uncle Submitted by: Tracy Johnson | Nate's Uncle Wayne Stein passed away suddenly this afternoon, apparently from some type of heart disease/attack. My understanding is he sat down and then collapsed after doing some moviing up and down some stairs with my Aunt Nadine and cousin Jared, so they were there to witness this. An ambulance was called and CPR was being done when they left the house. Don't know much more except that he passed away. He was in his late fifties. | Prayer for Janice my sister Submitted by: Glenna Ryan | Pray for healing from melanoma. A recent PET scan showed activity in a lymph node on the left side of her neck under her ear. A year ago March she had surgery to remove the lymph nodes from the right side where a malignant tumor was found. After a year of interferon treatment she should have been clear of cancer cells but this is not the case. Pray for wisdom as to how to proceed. The location is difficult to biopsy because of blood vessels and nerves. Pray for healing and removal of the cancerous lymph for good. | 08-09-2010 |

| Bob Turnbull Submitted by: Tracy Johnson | 12/17/2008 Update: Bob had some chest pain last night and they gave him nitro glycerin. They are going to do another type of stress test tomorrow to see if they can/should do surgery of some type on the blockage. I have a serious stress headache. 12/16/2008 Update: Bob is still in the hospital. They are still tweeking his medication. He keeps getting light headed when he walks and his bloos pressure drops way down. 12/15/2008 Update: "Thank you all for your prayers. I am supposed to be bringing Bob home today. The cardiac specialist doesn't think a stint or angioplsty will help Bob at all so they are going to handle it with medication. Bob is feeling good but I think we will take it day by day for a while." Update from Cherk: "Bob is in having a stress test right now. They are going to see if his heart is strong eough for whatever GI procedure they think is necessary. The GI Doctors aren't in agreement as to what is causing his blood loss. One says internal bleeding the other says Bob's bone marrow is not producing new blood cells. That would require a bone marrow biopsy and a hemotologist. I'm praying for the easy way out. " Update: From Cheri..."Bob is still at Mercy hospital. They had to give him another transfusion. So now the plan is to try to get him in to the GI section to find the internal bleeding and stop it. Then they will deal with the heart issue. I feel like a yo-yo. Poor Bob didn't get much sleep last night. Please continue praying for him." Please pray for Bob Turnbull. He is in the admitted with a heart related issue. On Monday they will be doing some tests that will provides some answers and direction in treatments. | Frankie requests prayer Submitted by: Pat LaRose | Our friend Frankie has been dealing with a benign brain tumor since he was 2 years old. He has had multiple brain surgeries, the last one being in 2004. He is going for a check up in August and he is anxious as this is the longest period he has ever had without needing surgery. The surgeries have left him home bound for up to 6 months in the past, as he needs to re-gain motor skills and vision post surgery. Frankie has been seeking a closer relationship with Jesus and a better understanding of Christianity over the past 2 years, as evidenced by his request for this prayer.
