Updated COVID Protocols and Encouragments

Updated COVID Protocols and Encouragments

The City of Springfield on September 13 implemented updated mandates and protocols that included places of worship. Please read the City of Springfield Board of Health Mandate.

  • Masks will be required for everyone inside the building and at every official CPC offsite event inside jurisdictions that required masks.; however,

    • Worship leaders, preachers, and singers will be allowed to be unmasked as we will maintain a 10-foot barrier.

    • Children 2 years and younger can remain unmasked.

  • Social Distanced Seating: The fellowship room will remain reserved for those that want to remain socially distant.

  • The Nursery Room for children (0 to 3) will still be staffed with masked volunteers.

  • Food & Coffee after worship will remain on hiatus until further notice.

Some encouragement and reminders:

  • Sick? Please stay home. We ask that if you are sick or have been exposed to or been in close contact with someone who has the virus, please stay home and participate via Livestream.

  • Vaccination: We generally encourage people to get vaccinated. However, we know and understand that there are reasons why you would not. As always, contact your doctor for medical advice.

  • Be gracious and loving to each other. We know that there are differing opinions on mandates, opening up, wearing masks, and vaccinations. Remember if we do not have love for one another we are just a noisy gong or clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1)

  • Stay Connected & Communicate: We also want to hear from you. Please email tracy@christ-pres.org or call/text 413-636-5664.
